On behalf of the Organizing and Scientific committee, we are delighted to invite you to the 13th World Congress on Anaerobic Digestion: Recovering (bio) Resources for the World to be held in Santiago de Compostela (Spain) in June 2013. This event is part of the IWA Anaerobic Digestion Specialist Group conference series, which are conceived as an international forum for discussion on state-of-art of the anaerobic bioprocesses.
The aim of the conference is to tackle traditional topics concerning Anaerobic Digestion, including Energy recovery, Nutrients recovery, Biodegradation of recalcitrant compounds, Modelling and control, Bioelectrochemical systems, etc., in parallel to more innovative themes as Co-digestion for improving AD efficiency, Processes integration, New biomasses for AD, Molecular biology tools for understanding, designing and operating AD processes, AD as a core technology in decentralised systems and AD to decrease Carbon Footprint. With this conference program, we expect to attract experts in different fields of knowledge from all over the world to present their most recent technological and scientific outcomes. Parallel sessions offering a wide range of multidisciplinary presentations will provide excellent opportunities to network among professionals from academia, industry and public administrations.
Specialised short courses will be offered to young scientists before the conference to reinforce knowledge on certain innovative aspects. It is the Organising and Programme committee´s belief that these courses are important to strengthen the attractiveness of the Conference.
