Current world water problems, such as flooding, drought, water shortage, and groundwater depletion are all related to rainwater, therefore, proper Rainwater management can mitigate such disasters.

One of the objectives of RWHM is to solve the MDG to provide fresh and free water to those people who do not have access to clean water by rainwater harvesting. The second objective of RWHM SG is to promote Rain Cities, in which all the stakeholders understand the importance of rainwater and make regulations to collect rainwater at the place it is fallen and use for beneficial purposes instead of draining it. City planner, architect, NGO, politicians as well as water and wastewater engineers should corporate together to achieve the goal.

The 3rd International Rainwater Harvesting and Management Conference will be held at Goseong, Korea in conjunction with Dinosaur Expo. The main focus is to relate the general public and children and parents into the field of water by recognizing the extinction of dinosaur is due to failure of climate change adaptation, and therefore human beings should be prepared for the climate change adaptation by rainwater management.
