Individual membership
The water sector is facing testing times and an era of unprecedented changes. These challenges strike at the heart of our common assumptions and operating norms - about water resource scarcity, explosive population and urban growth, evolving customer expectations and climate change variability just to name a few.
At the same time solutions do exist; new technologies are revolutionising the way we think about water, wastewater, sanitation and drainage. Water professionals, prepared to address these issues can benefit from the support that IWA provides by creating opportunities that cross the traditional boundaries between water science and practice. IWA helps to make the right connections at the right time, thereby sharing cutting-edge research and practice, allowing people to meet and share their own experience, capabilities and desire of finding opportunities for innovation.
Our members actively participate in our specialist groups, task groups, conferences or publish in IWA journals and books which contribute towards the development of IWA strategic programmes.
By joining IWA you will gain access to the most dynamic water network and you will be able to make use of the following benefits:
* The IWA Yearbook is sent every year with the June issue of Water21
IWA also operates a High / Low Income Country Clasification based according to the World Bank’s Atlas system. Members form Low Income Countries pay discounted rate for the membership, as do student and retired members.
