Throughout its history IWA has recognised individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the purposes for which the Association stands. In 2010 the IWA Board of Directors instituted a new programme to recognise the professional excellence of its members through the IWA Fellows Programme. The purpose of this programme is to recognise those members who have made a distinguished contribution to the field of water science, technology and management and solicit their help in continuing this work by acting as active ambassadors of the IWA
