What is a nominated representative?
This is a key employee, nominated by their organisation to receive similar benefits to individual members including Water21, access to Specialist Groups, IWA Yearbook and discounts on products and services – at no additional charge to the individual.

How can I become a member?
You can apply for you membership online, dowloading the application form and send complete of all the details by fax, bu post or email, or contacting IWA Membership team.

How do I renew my individual membership?
You can renew online or alternatively please contact members@iwahq.org

How do I renew my organisations’ corporate membership?

How do I change my contact details or specialist group selection?
If you wish to change your contact details or Specialist Group selections please update these at: https://www.portlandpress.com/iwa/membership/change.cfm.

How can I pay for my IWA membership?
Payment can be made in the following ways:

  • Bank Transfer - Make payment to Portland Customer Services, Natwest Bank Plc, 25 High Street, Colchester, CO1 1DG, UK – Account # 01863630 – Sort Code: 60-06-06. Please include full name and reason for transfer, i.e. ‘IWA membership’ and supply us with details of your date of transfer, amount and bank from which it is coming.
  • Cheque or Postal Order - Please make cheque payable to ‘Portland Customer Services’
  • Credit Card Payment

Please note that payment should be made in £-Sterling, US$ or Euros. Please ensure that your payment includes ALL bank charges. Use your membership number or fullname as reference for the payment.

Is the credit card way of payment secure?
IWA uses a secured system for all online transactions. All your personal information is encrypted, including your credit card number. You can either make the payment yourself on our website or providing us with your credit card details and we process the payment for you.

I am unable to gain access to my online journal subscription.
You may have problems accessing your online journals for a number of reasons:

  1. Your membership for this year may have not yet been renewed. Please see previous question on how to renew your individual membership.
  2. Please check the spelling when entering the username and password. You should have received your member username and login code from our customer fulfillment agency. Please use these details to login to your journals.
  3. New members please note that it can take up to a week for your membership to be activated at which point you will be sent all the necessary information.
  4. If you are still experiencing problems accessing your journals please contact our membership department at members@iwahq.org

I have not received the latest issue of Water21 or the publications I have ordered.
Please ensure that we have your correct contact details by logging into the members-only area of the website and confirming your details. Alternatively, please contact our customer fulfilment agency who are responsible for postage of publications at sales@portland-services.com.

What are the terms for refunding membership payments?
Refunds on membership fees and journal subscriptions will not be accepted after 30 days from the date of receiving your payment.
