IWA Awards and Honours

With a global membership consisting of over 10,000 water sector professionals IWA is in a unique and privileged position to have amongst its members the world’s leading minds in water science and management.   IWA is committed to recognizing the special contributions and achievements of its members and water sector professionals through our Honours and Awards series, conferred biennially at the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition- the next of which will be held this year in Busan, Korea 16-21 September 2012.  There are various awards grouped under 5 categories that will open for nominations in April 2012. Full details on each of the awards can be found below.

Submitting your nominations

    • IWA Honours and Award Nominations for 2012 will now be managed through an online nomination management system.
    • Those awards which are open for nomination by IWA members and network participants have a separate form which can be accessed via the following link.http://iwahq.org/Nominations/Pages/ChooseNomination.aspx
    • Deadlines for nominations are the 1 June 2012 (except for the Fellows Nominations which is the 15th May 2012) and all award winners will be notified in July with the formal presentation ceremonies for the awards due to take place during the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition in Busan 16-21 September.
    • Nominations will be reviewed by the IWA Honours & Awards Committee and conferred by the IWA Board of Directors.
