The efficient development of water sector is impossible without young water professionals.
The aim of the conference is to create a wide and efficient international network of young water professionals, particulary from the Balkan region, because the efficient development of water sector is impossible without young water professionals. Young water professionals (students and professionals in the water sector and under the age of 35) are the future of the water sector. Present and future needs of the water sector require the continuous development of a workforce, capable in skills and strong in leadership.
All aspects of water manegement are included in conference topics: water use, water protection and protection against harmful water effects.
This conference is organized by the Institute for the Development of Water Resources “Jaroslav Cerni” and Belgrade Water Supply and Santitation Public Company, under the umbrella of the IWA Young Water Professionals.
The the best platform presentation will automatically classify to present her/his work at the International YWPC2010 in Sydney, Australia (5-7 July 2010).
Proposed Themes:
Papers on all aspects of the water/wastewater sectors are invited but he conference will have a special focus on:
- Water supply
- Water protection
- Groundwater management
- Performance assessment in wastewater utilities and social, economic, financial and other dimensions of wastewater asset management
- Climate changes and their impact on water cycle
- Risk management
