The goal of this Group is to be a forum for the exchange of theoretical, practical and operational experience for those involved in the design and operation of drinking water treatment plants. Three sub-groups are already active: Removal of organics, Removal of algae and their metabolites, and Upgrading/rehabilitation options for existing plants. The group is preparing a position paper on ‘Relevant emerging parameters: what concern for drinking water?’. The group had a joint conference with the Design, Operation and Cost of Large Wastewater Treatment Plants SG on 2-4 June 2010 in Moscow, Russia.
