Membrane Technology
The objectives of the group are to advance knowledge and experience in the area of development and implementation of membrane technology for drinking and industrial water production as for low quality and wastewater treatment. It is associated with the development of membranes and adjustment to the low quality to be treated and subject to the required qualities.
The Membrane Technology Group has grown to be one of the largest specialist groups within IWA, consisting from the vast spectrum of the active members (scientists, researchers, engineers, membrane industry professionals and end-users.) in academic, industrial and public sectors. The Group’s objective is to educate professionals and public on membrane technologies and promote and exchange knowledge on the membrane technology through the international and regional conferences and special workshops on specific topics relevant to membrane technologies for water environment. Special attention will be paid to the young professionals who will increasingly encounter membrane technology in their professional life. The last SG conference was the 6th IWA specialised conference on membrane technology held on 4-7 October 2011 in Aachen, Germany. For more information, please visit the conference website (www.iwa-mtc2011.org). The group's next conference is: IWA Regional Conference on Membrane Technology - Buenos Aires, Argentina, 3-Dec-12 - 6-Dec-12.
