Have you thought about working to build capacity in the water and sanitation sector by sharing your knowledge and expertise? If so, now is the time to make a difference by supporting projects in developing countries.
IWA's Expertise Exchange programme is a partnership approach making a real difference in building capacity and strengthening systems that deliver improved water and sanitation services in low and middle income countries. IWA's aim is to foster long term relationships with both external organisations and Association members to strengthen the skills, knowledge and performance in the water sector.
Water and sanitation is a cornerstone to international development and is vital to achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). IWA members possess a wealth of technical experience and expertise, which when systematically mobilized and shared, can support local capacity development and accelerate service delivery activity.
IWA will identify and match experts within the Association's network with requests from counterpart organizations searching for specialist inputs, specific experience and skills, research findings, capacity building interventions or consultancy. IWA members generally work on a voluntary basis to share their knowledge and technical expertise in support of a diverse range of projects.
