Building Technical Capacity and Expertise

Its time to make a real difference

Have you thought about working to build capacity in the water and sanitation sector by sharing your knowledge and expertise? If not, then perhaps its time you helped make a difference in supporting projects in developing countries. You can get involved in a number of ways:

Brokering mechanisms between geographical areas

The IWA Development Solutions Programme is a cross-programmatic activity trying to broker low and middle income country needs with high income country capacity and resources.

  • Water Operators Partnershipssupport exchange and knowledge building between utilities. Please contact Steen Bjerggaard for more information.
  • Operation & Maintenance Network - aligning networks, supporting development.
  • IWA Connections supports IWA member activities in low and middle income countries through voluntary donations from high income members
  • The website is currently being reworked to allow IWA to better broker water expertise. Previous exercises for WHO missions have been very successful, but we are looking for a more automated solution (work in progress).
