Strengthening Utilities and Inspiring Leadership
Utility professionals represent one of the largest member segments of the Association. In addition, the membership of utility entities and national / regional utility associations make this community a powerful vehicle for promoting innovation and best practices. IWA serves water and wastewater utilities and their staff through a range of activities which address managerial, technical and operational issues related to utilities and a set of dedicated activities targeted to inspire and bring together ‘C level’ executives.
Dedicated Activities and Products for Utility Members
IWA helps to connect a wide range of utility staff with others to facilitate peer to peer learning and the expansion of their knowledge base. Supporting strategic thinking and effective problem solving, IWA provides access to information and solutions not available elsewhere. The following are events and publications provided by IWA specifically for utilities:

Utilities at the Forefront of Innovation and Best Practice
Through active involvement in IWA thematic programmes, utilities are centrally placed in the vanguard of new developments for sustainable water and wastewater services. Through engagement in these programmes, IWA promotes early adopters and facilitates the mainstream application of best practices. Each of these programmes has steering / advisory committees, organises events (workshops and conferences), develops frameworks, publishes reports and books and provides a number of other opportunities to both involve utilities and ensure that their needs are considered.
