Water Safety Plans
Improving water quality and health
Water Safety Plans (WSP) provide a framework for proactive, systematic and effective management and surveillance of drinking water supplies based on a preventative risk-based approach. Successful implementation of WSPs can improve drinking water quality, accrue operational efficiencies and provide a robust framework to better target more sustainable capital investments.
Water Safety Portal
The Water Safety Portal (WSPortal) is a co-managed website by IWA and the World Health Organisation (WHO). The Portal is intended for all those involved in the management of drinking water supplies and provides practical guidance - in the form of case studies and tools - for those responsible for ensuring drinking water quality. Regional networks supporting WSP implementation are also hosted on this website. You can visit the website at http://www.wsportal.org.
