IWA Young Water Professionals Award
Throughout the two years that the winner holds the award, he or she becomes Ambassador of IWA and the whole YWP's community.

Since 1999, The International Water Association has granted biennially the IWA Young Water Professionals Award to one exceptional individual member of up to the age of 35 years old. These young IWA members are recognized water professionals with outstanding career achievements to date and the potential to play a large and influential role in the water industry in the future. Throughout their two-years tenure, the award holder becomes an Ambassador for IWA and the IWA Young Water Professionals to display those characteristics in their own work and to inspire new coming water leaders.
Eligibility and Criteria
IWA members who are young professionals of up to the age of 35 years old, who are either water sector practitioners or from research/academia. Awardees will have:
♦ An outstanding career achievement (either through their scientific contribution as researchers or working in the water industry) to date.
♦ The potential to play a large and influential role in the water industry in the future.
♦ A indisputable contribution to the public good in water.
♦ Actively contributes to the promotion and development of IWA and the IWA YWP programme.
—The next nominations will be in February 2014 and the award winner will be presented at the World Water Congress in Lisbon.
