We go way back with a bright future ahead
The IWA’s presence in North America has been long and deep.More than one in five of our IWA members are from this part of the globe. The US and Canada are also prominent host-countries for our numerous (± 40 per year) IWA events. But most of all, we are proud to have so many (North) Americans amongst our most distinguished and long-standing members and staff.
A prominent example would be our current IWA president, Glen Daigger. Based in Denver, Colorado Glen has been inspiring IWA members and advocating IWA’s strongpoint, long before he became our president. Our former executive director, The American Paul Reiter, led the IWA in a period of dynamic new developments. Benefiting from Paul’s longstanding experience, he has stayed on as IWA counselor on key strategic areas.
The Many IWA Specialist Groups also owe a lot to some exemplary and highly regarded American members. These persons have been captains in leading and inspiring others. If you want to cooperate with other IWA experts in your water field as well check out which Specialist Groups are interesting to you.
