Proposed Themes:

Application of new instrumentation and techniques for water quality monitoring
Implementation of strategies aimed at controlling nutrient levels in the reservoir
Adoption of best practices in the management of cyanobacteria and algae
Usage of in-reservoir water quality management strategies that include: mixing and destratification, hypolimnetic oxygenation, novel algaecides and algal control, flocculants and nutrient binding agents, and biomanipulation
Evaluation of reservoirs as barriers to or as sources of pathogens
Hydrodynamic and water quality modelling as tools to facilitate understanding and optimize operations; and
Actively integrating reservoir management and water treatment.
